Thanks for Joining National Conference on Open Source Software

The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Ahmedabad organized  the first National Conference on Open Source Software in Ahmedabad on 13th to 15th July 2007. The conference was first of its kind in the state and aims at engaging a wide range of stakeholders to initiate discussion and action to promote Open Source Software (OSS) in diverse fields of operation. The conference successfully gathered all the OSS idealogues, supporters, users and professionals to join hands by for popularising open source software in diverse professional settings.

If you have missed the action at the conference, don't worry. You can access all the presentations made by the speakers and also the live video of the conference.  Please keep visiting the website, for more updates on OSS and related news.

In the end,  lets sum up with some food for thought from Richard M Stallman (RMS), the iconic figure from the OSS movement: '... I would choose a bare-bones, unreliable, free program rather than ... reliable proprietary program...'
