When a lot of efforts are being made by many dedicated Open Source Software players to popularize various OSS applications across the world, the OSS conference is a modest beginning in Gujarat to popularize the application and business value of the same. Often enterprises across the world use OSS products as a mere business proposition without understanding the real history behind it. Any product, which is merely used as a commercial tool fails to inspire its users to get involved with the same. The OSS conference aims at exhorting all the stakeholders concerned, to start using OSS applications & platforms with a certain sense of evangelism. This would mark the beginning of a technological movement in the state which not only offers a strong business proposition but also a value based user group.
